Black Round End Table

Some of the best living room furniture I’ve bought in ages is this black round end table! Plus now my wife has seen it she’s after one also. I’ll show you what I found.

I’ll briefly paint a picture for you, I’m sure you can relate!

After my parents had recently moved house, the furnishings that came with the house were fantastic, yet with birthdays approaching, you ask yourself ‘What on earth can I buy them?’ Like with most older generations, they have a bit of everything! So the key is to listen out for any subtle hints throughout the year, a skill which I think I’ve mastered!

Having a fairly large sized living room, there is a large coffee table within the middle of the room, however, when the whole family goes over, it suddenly fills up! Plus with most of the chairs and sofas stretching away from the table, having somewhere close to you to place a drink is always handy- especially as I’ve lost count of the number of times something has been knocked off that coffee table!

With that in mind and the occasional mention from my mother to father ‘we need some end tables, what happened to those you were looking at?’- Auction listing timings have never been his strong suit- I thought I’d take a look online and see what I could find!

Let’s get onto what I discovered.

With them having a darker coloured theme to their living room, a round side table in the colour black seemed the most appropriate place to start looking at. The contemporary, yet stylish theme to this type of end table is something that will delight my mother. As mentioned the tables are really needed for guests sitting away from the main table, or just to have somewhere to rest a phone or book on if you’re having a lazy day on the sofa!

The teardrop design adds a uniquely modern feel to the table, almost ideal shape to have just sat sturdily within arm’s reach of any potential user. Sometimes thicker shaped tables can get in the way if you already have the main table, too clunky or take up too much leg room, especially if you have a room full of people- even more so with pets and children running around!

The thinner shape is ideal, firm in structure and thick glass to support items placed on top, it will elegantly rest in a spot of your choosing with no worry of it getting knocked or damaged and the glass top providing a platform for those plates of biscuits that you have, that often get eaten by passers-by! I found this model with great reviews online.

Accent tables are exactly what my wife is after, so a black round one should do the trick perfectly! The carbon steel structure means you have more freedom of items to be placed on it, whether it be a landline phone, book collection or vase of flowers- you’ll still have plenty of room for a drink or snack if you chose! The black, modern design means you aren’t limited to having it in one room, if you are in need of a new bedside table, fancy an upgrade to your outdoor furniture when sunbathing or just something to have ornaments/keys on in the hallway- the epitome of versatility!

A great feature on this table is the lower shelving structure, no matter what you place on a table there always comes a time when you need that extra bit of room, a parcel comes through the door and it needs storing, relaxing on the sofa and need somewhere to place that slice of cake or doing some DIY and needing somewhere to put the tools your using- end tables are designed for those situations! So this one having a lower shelf enables the more permanent ornaments to be temporarily moved or become a home for the weekly magazines/books that you need to store!

If you have a darker colour theme to your room and don’t have the room to have a larger table, or lots of end tables (don’t worry we all have one of those awkwardly shaped rooms) then a small black round coffee table could be the solution for you. The 2-tiered structure ensures the room for the standard items we all place on our coffee tables! With the glass shelving and metal frame is durable and produced to match almost any decor it’s placed in.

Round tables are often the most practical, fitting in all those awkward spots in the room or a great centrepiece for storing and displaying all your favourite ornaments- yet also sleek enough for people and pets to walk by without worry of what could be knocked off or broken!
