Firstly I’d better clarify my need for this paper, a very neat trick I’ve been told is becoming even more popular!
I’d been staring at all the presents I’d gathered for birthdays and
Christmas over the last few weeks- yes I’m as surprised as you that I’ve managed to start the preparation early for once- and for the life of me couldn’t think of a way to sort through them.
Having a large family, it's often difficult to arrange and categorise presents, especially when we have most of our birthdays around this time of year, plus the addition of Christmas approaching had only complicated the matter further.
I’d got some spare wrapping paper from last year that I’d managed to grab off the wife, as normally she has it by the bucket-load, but all of it was matching colours. Whether it was traditional Christmas theme or standard red paper I knew if I began to wrap them all up in this then I’d lose track of who’s present was who’s (which could be a disaster upon the opening of them!).
So as I pondered my next move, our eldest daughter walked past the room and could see I was deep in thought, before saying “Why don’t you just get some standout colours, like black, like what Grandma does". Just like that, the realisation I’d yet again been outsmarted by my daughter came as a help-meaning it would solve my issue and save Christmas (well to some extent!).
Let’s go onto the items I believe are the best.

Make sure you buy the highest quality ones; the worst possible thing is to be wrapping up gifts and the paper rips more times you can count! Even attempting to save it with cello tape doesn’t provide that same quality that good standard paper does. It also makes the gift ooze that extra elegance, even if just a small present or a bargain find, they can be made to look a high-end luxury item just from the packaging!
I found this type of paper roll that would suit those after top quality.

Something my mother has done for a while, separating specific colours for events, or people (whether it’s an uncle’s birthday or a niece's first Christmas), it's ideal if you are in a similar situation where your family is so large and sparsely populated that gift-giving needs to be a planned process!
The solid colour is essential if you are buying for those who prefer dark colours, or have a thing for everything they own to be one colour and one colour only- yes a lot of people are like this! That's why this type would help you if you match that situation or just fancy some sophisticated looking paper!

No one wants the present they send to arrive in a state out of their control, especially when posting long distance, or even those who have a habit of spilling liquids on items around the house- thinking the clumsy ones among us or children here! This paper is water and tear proof, so the worry of ‘what ifs’ after you sent the parcel on its way is a thing of the past.
You can have the piece of mind knowing that this high quality, weather proof gift wrap will do you a good service as it’s transported to your loved ones! If this is familiar to you then this gift roll will be the choice to go for!

Gone on the days of when tags or stickers are used for names/messages on a present, now you have the canvas to be as creative as you like for each present you send! It's practical too! If you have multiple presents for several friends/families and don't want to get the names wrong, adding initials or nicknames to the gift wrap will be a helpful feature when planning your gift giving this year!
I’m extremely pleased with the quality and durability of my wrapping paper and will certainly be using it throughout the year to organise those presents- especially this Christmas! Now I’ve ordered my Mum some they will be here in time to help her gift-giving preparations as well, good timing!
Check out the items above that I’ve suggested and feedback to me if they have been of use to you.
