I’ve been asked to get some by the local school; my wife’s a teacher there, as they have been so impressed with all the pictures she’s shown them of ours! I’ll show you the ones I have discovered.
There is often a story behind the changing of Christmas decorations and mine is no different! Something I’m sure you’ve run into before.
After moving house earlier in the year, to a new neighbourhood, we were unpacking our Christmas decorations on the front garden and suddenly I discovered we may have misplaced all of our Christmas lights!
My wife was certain she’d brought them back from the storage unit we had kept them in whilst moving most of our belongings across town, whereas I was certain we’d given them away!
They weren’t anywhere to be seen, they were in none of the delivery boxes, storage units or friends/families cars, who had helped us move, just completely disappeared! So at this point. I thought we may as well embrace the lack of decorations we had and look to invest in some new ones.
After contemplating the idea of snowflakes or lanterns (the better suggestions the kids had come up with) one of our new neighbours had mentioned how he has been using LED string lights for years, so easy to set up and look glorious on the cold winter nights!
When looking at the photos he showed us we were sold, now onto the lights I mentioned earlier!

Having some outdoor Christmas string lights is the best way to go if you fancy lighting up your street with Christmas cheer. Make sure you buy the waterproof ones so there is not restriction to how far ‘outdoors’ they can go- as some lights say outdoor- but have to be under cover, these Christmas lights do not!
There is no better sight than seeing your home dazzling in an array of colours from the outside, at a colour sequence of choice from those provided, the multi coloured ones in the picture above are really great value for money!

The best thing about the battery operated lights is the installation, so easy! You don’t have to mess around trying to find a gap through a door, window or garage that will be the power hub for your lights display. You can put them anywhere! Being so portable means that if you fancy changing your lights display at any point it won’t require a day’s planning to do so! A simple move around of the string cable and the battery pack will follow, furthermore, the battery pack can then be hidden away so it doesn’t compromise the beauty of your display!
My wife has been a huge fan of this type of Christmas string light ever since I mentioned about getting some new ones! They have a great timer function and the LED lights provide a cosy Christmas atmosphere.

Warm white is a popular colour due to its soft nature and tranquil glow during those cold Christmassy nights- that are often filled with laughter and warmth! String lights are unique in their ability to not look out of place in almost any decorative scene, whether it’s inside or out, around the tree or across the staircase, the white LED’s give off a sense that they’ll glow for a lifetime, which with those pictured above being USB compatible, they won’t be far off!
The USB powered design is ideal for the modern age of technology when most homes are filled with power banks, phone chargers and computers. If you love the flexibility to design your dream Christmas display then these white LED string lights will be great for you.
Mine will be up just in time for the family gatherings to begin! All the children in the family love the big switch on at our house each year, which this year could be our biggest yet!
Also, the school is going to look fantastic with all these lights up, just in time for their annual Christmas fare. Take a look at the ones I’ve found above and let me know if you like them!
