Red and White Christmas Crackers

Often the case at Christmas, when red and white Christmas crackers are needed to add the final touches to the dinner table, this year being no different! These being so sort after, within the family, we could be buying up to twenty plus boxes! Let me show you the tree types I thought were the best and why we chose the one we did.

Before that, I better explain the situation I’m sure you’ve been involved in yourself at some stage!

With my parents being on holiday abroad until late December, much of their Christmas preparations (apart from presents) were being undertaken by me and my siblings, just to also add to the chaos of our own! My two brothers in charge of outside decorations, sister the annual family dinner and I were to decide on the interior ornaments and general decorations (including Christmas crackers).

As you can tell I’d been handed the short straw, so I enlisted the help of my wife and we set about our roll to decorate my parents into their own Santa’s grotto as they return from their sunbathing!

With most of the selections done, the crackers to have around meal time were a surprisingly more difficult decision than I had anticipated. With endless colours, designs, gifts and shapes to choose (yes I was as shocked as you with the varying shapes of a cracker) I thought we’d never get it done.

After looking through boxes and boxes to no prevail, my wife then suggested a more traditional theme of cracker, ‘Red and White colour scheme perhaps’.  I don’t know how it took me so long to cotton onto something so simple, yet now guided with a design to aim for we set about on the hunt some cracking Christmas crackers (yes my jokes are that bad).

Now onto the types we found.

There are some crackers that just don’t feel Christmassy at all, on the contrary, this type of red white Christmas cracker doesn't fail to in that regard. Having a festive design they ooze the holiday spirit! With the contrast of the colours being complimented by all sorts of shapes and patterns, this type of cracker really catches your eye and would almost certainly fit on a table of a Christmas loving home.

They are the essential to the dinner table around the festive period, no Christmas dinner can be enjoyed thoroughly until the crackers have been opened, novelty toys assembled and the party hats/festive photo booth props on add to the joyous spirit around one of the best meals of the year!

With a box full of crackers, approximately 10-12" long, they won’t clog up the table! But yet be big enough to make that almighty bang when the excitement for the meal reaches its peak and all that can be heard at the table is laughter and popping!

A great choice for anyone wanting that traditional Christmas feel in all aspects of the decoration department, including around meal time, here are the types that best match.

Now those with a younger family (or generally love Christmas themes!) will adore these white red and blue Christmas crackers. A pack of ten luxury crackers on delivery, their design is that of a cute red Santa and Snowman, great for around the table during the festive season.

Approximate size 29cm x 5cm, these crackers are brilliant into enticing the kids from their presents on Christmas Day, towards the dinner table, then causing them to burst into hysterics as they try to pull several crackers at once! The satisfaction then comes from the confusion at the table, as they try to make sense of the joke/motto that comes flying out of the cracker and doing everything in their power to figure out the purpose of the novelty gift inside. That is what Christmas is all about!

The design significantly adds to the décor of the table, perfect for any homes that aren’t too far away from being a grotto during the holidays.

These crackers were the popular choice for the children (and some adults) in our family!

A joke, party hat and the usual novelty Christmas style gift- the items that fall out of these crackers will be sort after from everyone across the table. Often each individual obtaining a different reason why they will ‘need’ the cracker gift to make their day even better!

Fantastic for matching any sort of traditional Christmas colour scheme you may have -or know of someone having- the gifts inside add to the illustrious cracker design, being a real capture for anyone to top off a heart-warming festive season.
